Ma Nishma (what’s up)?
How does the identity of your neighborhood tie into who you are?
We are both currently a work in progress! My neighborhood is fun, vibrant and full of expression. I currently reside in the Miracle Mile area which showcases a variety of distinct cultures.
As the neighborhood is rapidly changing and growing – I see myself also going through a transition. I am now reconsidering how I once viewed Los Angeles.
Who’s your favorite Angeleno, living or dead, real or fictional?
I don’t have one favorite Angeleno but TWO!
Angelyne & Crazy Robertson have to be my favorite Angeleno’s. Growing up in Los Angeles there was not a week that I would not have a run in with these local celebrities.
Angelyne is a self proclaimed celebrity that surfaced in the 80s & 90s on Billboards all over Los Angeles. She can be compared to a modern day Paris Hilton.
Crazy Robertson born John Wesley Jermyn a fellow Angeleno was a former baseball player for the Kansas City Royals. Rain or Shine he is always following the beat of his own drum!
Needless to say both Angeleno’s define an era of self proclaimed celebrities.
What’s your favorite place in LA, and why?
Currently my favorite place in Los Angeles happens to be a gallery on La Brea – Kayne Griffin Corcoran. The architectural design of this gallery alone is a reason to visit. Not to mention, the art curation and featured artists are some of the most influential and inspiring artist of our time.
You know you’re from / live in LA when….
…You drive to the grocery store, or anywhere when its just a block away.

What do you wish you’d knew about Jewish culture?
I wish I knew more about the traditional Aramaic texts that was once used. The evolution of the Jewish Culture from past to the modern discourse appears to be the most interesting. Understanding the adaptation of texts to the contemporary era to me seems to extremely relevant.
What defines Jewish culture for you?
Gathering with the old and new generations of the family every Shabbat and High Holiday defined jewish culture for me! The exchanging of the past generations experiences against the newer generation is always inspiring. As a son of two immigrants I am proud to see my family incorporating the traditions they were brought up with and the traditions that we adopted.
Do you have a favorite Jewish memory?
My favorite memory was learning about my heritage from my grandfather during my Bar Mitzvah studies. He would explain all the traditions and rituals to us as it was taught to him. Spending that time with him during my early teens will be something that I will pass on to the future generations.
A past trend that you wish would come back?
OshKosh Bigosh Overalls
If you were to invent anything, what would it be and why?
I wish I could invent an intervention that would provide clean water and food to those in need. Especially after the recent devastation effecting the United States. I became concerned about those who live in worse conditions , with more constraints and limitations,
We happen to live in a society that encourages over indulgence. Sadly there are too many people in the world living with less than the bare minimum.
Your dream project?
There are a list of artists, designers, and visionaries I wish I could collaborate with as an Art Director or Creative Director. The first of which would be Creative Director at Tom Ford.
