NuRoots is a movement of young people building community across L.A. We believe in connecting more deeply. With ourselves, with each other, and with our neighborhoods.
Inspired by Jewish values, culture, and heritage, we find ways to cultivate creativity and explore spirituality. We’re about doing things differently, and doing things together. So let’s remix customs. Let’s reimagine tradition. Let’s make the walls reverberate with energy and ideas.
Talk. Smile. Share.
We’re hard-wired to enjoy doing all of these things. But we’re hard-pressed to find the chance to do them. We’re more likely to spend time bumper-to-bumper on the 405 than connecting with each other.
We thrive on real conversations over coffee or hanging out at your favorite juice spot. We want to learn about the exciting things happening in your neighborhood and what you dream of creating.
Let us treat you to tea, kombucha or artisan ice cream. Tell us what you’re up to and what you’re looking for.
We’d love to meet you.
Let’s Get Together
Let's get inspired.
Eat. Breathe. Laugh.
It’s simple, really. We know people want to share Friday night with friends, yoga on Sunday, or a weekday adventure. Gatherings you can walk or bike to (Waze not required!), and meet other warm, welcoming and curious people.
We’re building community in kitchens and courtyards, galleries and pop-up parks. Think candlelit meditation or Jewish deli tours. Maybe a backyard story slam or a Persian cooking class. We create the space where people share experiences that matter…and create the opportunities to enjoy a delicious bite (because, hey! who doesn’t like to eat?)
